LEARNING THROUGH NATURE: COMMUNITY CHILDREN BUILT BIRD FEEDERS

One of the month’s most memorable moments took place in the forest surrounding Amber Forest, where children from the community participated in a bird feeder building workshop organized together with the Romanian Scouts – Drumul Crinului.

Initiated by members of the community, the activity gave children the opportunity to spend time in nature, work as a team, and learn through hands-on experience about caring for the environment.

The bird feeders they built were installed throughout the forest and will continue to be maintained with the involvement of the community, turning this initiative into a wonderful example of how ideas take root when people come together to build something meaningful.

At Amber Forest, initiatives like this are a natural expression of a community where children grow up in a safe environment, connect with nature, and develop a lasting respect for the natural world from an early age.

Construction is already underway on a modern nZEB-compliant sports facility covering approximately 1,000 sqm, along with outdoor sports amenities including an approximately 800 sqm football field and a basketball court. The indoor sports hall will feature a multifunctional basketball court, locker rooms, and showers, and is designed to accommodate training sessions, competitions, and sports activities for children and young people. The total investment amounts to approximately EUR 2 million.

The sports facilities are scheduled to open in the autumn of 2026. The sports hall will be operated by Fan Basketball Academy, which will expand its activities through the establishment of its new Training and Performance Center, a project dedicated to developing athletes aspiring to reach the highest levels of performance. Through an integrated program combining sports training, athletic education, and personal development, the new center aims to become a benchmark for youth basketball in the Bucharest–Ilfov region while providing children and young people with access to state-of-the-art training conditions.

The facilities will serve both the school located within Amber Forest and will also be available for rent by Amber Forest residents and the wider community in northern Bucharest.

This investment complements Amber Forest’s existing active lifestyle infrastructure, which already includes running and cycling trails, green spaces, and recreational areas. In 2027, the development is also scheduled to open a 12,000 sqm sports and leisure club, featuring tennis and padel courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, and wellness facilities. Together, these investments will establish Amber Forest Agora as a destination for sports, health, and leisure, serving both community residents and the wider public across northern Bucharest.

Once completed, the facilities will serve approximately 600,000 people living within a 20-minute catchment area, significantly expanding access to modern services throughout northern Bucharest.

Amber Forest is the first residential development in Europe to receive LEED Platinum v4.1 certification for Communities: Plan and Design. Developed across 31 hectares, the project features only 15% built footprint, with more than 5.3 hectares dedicated to parks and green spaces. It integrates energy-efficient homes, modern infrastructure, and comprehensive amenities designed to support a sustainable lifestyle.

Amber Forest offers a wide range of residential options, including more than 20 villa types, ranging from three to seven bedrooms, and over 14 apartment layouts designed to accommodate diverse lifestyles and family needs. The building dedicated to medical facilities within Amber Forest Agora is being constructed to nZEB standards and will have an area of approximately 3,000 sqm, located on a plot of around 2,000 sqm. The total investment amounts to €7 million. The Medikali Center will occupy an area of approx. 1.000 square meters within this building.

The new Medikali clinic is scheduled to open in 2028 and will complete the integrated services ecosystem within Amber Forest Agora, providing access to modern medical services both for the community’s residents and for the wider public in Bucharest’s northern area. The Medikali Clinic will integrate essential medical specialties for the entire family and will focus on the patient experience through an approach based on empathy, professionalism, and modern technology. A KEY STEP FOR PHASE II: PARTNERSHIP WITH STRABAG ROMANIA

In February, we appointed STRABAG Romania as the general contractor for the development of Phase II of the Amber Forest suburb.

In this phase, STRABAG Romania will build a residential area comprising 172 homes:

• 91 villas
• 81 apartments & parking spaces

The following types of houses will be constructed:
Urban Villa 12, Urban Villa 11, Urban Villa 10, Urban Villa 08, Urban Villa 07, Urban Villa 06, Urban Villa 03, Urban Villa 02, Symbio Villa 02, and Symbio Villa 03.

CONSTRUCTION HAS BEGUN ON THE SPORTS AND LEISURE CLUB IN THE SUBURB

Also in February, construction began on the Sports and Leisure Club – Pescariu Sports & Spa, which is scheduled to open in spring 2027.

The club will include:

• Outdoor tennis and padel courts
• Two recreational pools (for adults and children)
• A central 2,200 m² building featuring:
  • Semi-Olympic pool
  • Modern spa
  • Premium fitness club

In line with Amber Forest’s green standards, the complex will be built according to nZEB requirements and in compliance with the Platinum LEED v4.1 Cities & Communities certification achieved by the suburb.

PROGRESS OF WORKS AT THE AMBER VERITA CAMPUS

Construction at the Amber Verita campus is progressing according to plan, in preparation for the official opening in September 2026.

The building has already been erected and fitted with windows, following the established schedule to welcome the first students.

Enrollments are open, and the campus is taking shape as a landmark of the Amber Forest community, symbolizing the harmony between education, responsibly built environments, and green infrastructure.
