ALESONOR HAS STARTED CONSTRUCTION OF VERITA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CAMPUS IN AMBER FOREST
We are excited to announce the groundbreaking of the Verita International School & Kindergarten campus within the fully integrated Amber Forest suburb. With an estimated investment of approximately EUR 18 million, the Amber Verita Campus will be the first nZEB (net Zero Energy Building) school in Romania. Designed to the highest energy efficiency standards and following bioclimatic design principles, the campus will operate with net zero energy consumption, a reduced carbon footprint, and lower operating costs—while ensuring enhanced comfort and health benefits for students. WORKSHOP: “Toward a Zero Waste Community – Efficient Waste Management in Amber Forest”
Together with Elena Rastei, Sustainability Specialist & Certification Program Director at the Romania Green Building Council, we explored how to reduce environmental impact through waste prevention, responsible consumption, and proper waste separation.
We discussed the 5R principle – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle – and identified practical solutions to avoid waste. We also presented the Amber Forest waste collection system. Proper separation is essential to ensure recyclable materials can be processed effectively and to minimize environmental risks.
Please remember: packaging must be rinsed before recycling, and mixed or contaminated waste compromises the entire process.
AMBER FOREST EARNS FIRST LEED V4.1 FOR COMMUNITIES: PLAN & DESIGN PLATINUM CERTIFICATION IN EUROPE
The fully integrated Amber Forest suburb has become the first community in Europe to earn Platinum certification under LEED v4.1 for Communities: Plan & Design, awarded by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). LEARN MORE HERE
