At the Environmental & Sustainability Summit 2025, Alex Skouras, Managing Partner at Alesonor Real Estate Development, spoke about sustainability as more than green buildings or certifications — it’s about people, communities, and cooperation. “Sustainability has always been part of our company DNA. It has to do with technology, buildings, infrastructure, and what we deliver as developers or public authorities. But mainly it has to do with people, with providing the necessary education for people to understand how it should be integrated in the way they live their lives today and how they envision their children’s lives in the future.” He underlined that sustainable development is also about encouraging better lifestyles through mixed-use projects that reduce reliance on cars and provide services close to home.
