April brought a series of significant milestones for Amber Forest, marking new stages in the project’s development and reinforcing our vision of creating Romania’s first fully integrated and sustainable community. From the start of construction on Phase II and resident-focused events to our participation in the industry’s leading conferences and international recognition through new awards, April was a month defined by progress.
We invite you to explore the highlights of this month’s progress in our dedicated photo gallery:
CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE II HAS BEGUN TOGETHER WITH STRABAG ROMANIA
On April 22, 2026, we officially marked the start of construction for Phase II of the Amber Forest project with a groundbreaking ceremony held alongside STRABAG Romania, the general contractor for this stage of development.
The new phase will add 172 homes to the community, including 91 villas and 81 apartments with dedicated parking spaces, totaling more than 23,000 sqm of built area.
Construction has commenced on the three Type D apartment buildings, which will comprise all 81 residential units, as well as on several villa types: Urban Villa 12, Urban Villa 11, Urban Villa 10, Urban Villa 08, Urban Villa 07, Urban Villa 06, Urban Villa 03, Urban Villa 02, Symbio Villa 02, and Symbio Villa 03.
This new phase represents a major milestone in the development of the Amber Forest community and in the delivery of the amenities and homes planned for future residents.
THE AMBER FOREST COMMUNITY CELEBRATED EASTER TOGETHER
The spirit of community once again took center stage in April, as Amber Forest residents came together to celebrate Easter.
Children enjoyed interactive games, outdoor activities, and the much-anticipated Easter Egg Hunt, where the Easter Bunnies hosted a day filled with excitement and joy. The event brought families together and offered another opportunity to create lasting memories in a welcoming, nature-inspired setting.
AMBER FOREST AT THE HEART OF THE CONVERSATION ON THE FUTURE OF LIVING
In April, Alex Skouras, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Alesonor, participated in the ZF Pentru Afaceri Românești business program, where he discussed the transformation of the residential market and the growing demand for integrated communities.
During the interview, he highlighted that homebuying decisions are increasingly influenced by the quality of the surrounding ecosystem. Access to education, healthcare, sports facilities, green spaces, and leisure amenities has become a defining factor in choosing a home, reflecting the shift toward communities that offer a complete lifestyle rather than just residential properties.
Also in April, during the ZF Residential Market Trends 2026 conference, Alex Skouras presented the progress of the Amber Forest project and outlined the next stages of its development.
Today, Amber Forest is a thriving community spanning 31 hectares, with more than 300 homes already delivered and approximately 600 of the total 690 units sold. In the coming period, the international school, the sports and leisure club, and the AGORA area will be inaugurated. AGORA will bring together restaurants, cafés, retail spaces, medical services, offices, and dedicated community areas.
The vision remains unchanged: to create a true 15-minute city, where all essential services are within walking distance, fostering a vibrant community built around the principles of sustainability.
TWO NEW INTERNATIONAL AWARDS FOR ALESONOR
April concluded with another international recognition at the SEE Real Estate Awards 2026.
Alesonor was named Residential Developer of the Year, an award that reflects the company’s commitment to developing sustainable and innovative communities.
At the same time, Amber Forest AGORA received the Future Mixed-use Project award, recognizing the vision and potential of the community’s future hub, which will bring together sports, retail, educational, medical, and leisure facilities within a modern urban concept.
These distinctions reaffirm the long-term vision behind Amber Forest and Alesonor’s mission to redefine the standards of residential development in Romania.
